How to turn a dusty old apartment into a luxurious abode? Oh my goodness! these were the exact words that came from my mouth when I opened the door to my new apartment.
The ten hours drive in a Uhaul it took me to get there was a tiring one. All along hoping that it would look just like the one in the model picture so the journey would be worth it after all. Immediately I started to think of cheap ways to turn my old dusty apartment into a luxurious abode.
I guess you figured out the answer to that. My new apartment was a natural constructional and housekeeping disaster. Not only the housekeeping aspect of it, but the fixtures were of ancient, ancient descent. It was something you’ve never seen before.
I wanted to return to where to was coming from immediately and that’s ten hours away. The floors are made from wood with fading colors due to lack of care and age.
The bathrooms were old and tiny, and have grout stains and rust everywhere. The paint on the walls reminds me of the colors of health centers in third-world countries, pale cream or rather fading cream.
The closets were like small cages. There was nowhere to place my large kingsize comforters or other bed linens.
There were nail holes from the previous tenant grinning at me everywhere. The front door looked as if some monster with claws was clawing at it trying tirelessly to get in. What do I do in this situation? Do I ask for a refund or do I put my housekeeping skills into practice?
Might I say the only reason I decided to stay the view was exceptional and amazing? Even though this move seems like a disaster. If you look on the bright side it should give me the opportunity to show what I got.
