Life of the Rich and Famous: The Most Extravagant Celebrity Weddings

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

We were all surprised when Jonas Brothers’ Nick Jonas and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra got engaged just two months after dating in August 2018.

From November 29 to December 3, the couple had a multi-day celebration, including two wedding ceremonies, and no expense was spared. E! News estimated that the wedding cost $800,000, while Brides and Refinery 29 put the event at $584,000.

The stunning bride wore many different dresses that tied her Indian culture with Western influences. One of them was a custom-made Ralph Lauren gown that was hand-beaded and hand-embroidered with 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins and eight different words and phrases that were important to the bride. The dress took 1,826 hours to create and the veil was 75 feet long!

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston

One of the biggest celebrity weddings of the millennium was without a doubt Brad and Jen’s July 2000 event. According to Forbes, the event cost $1 million. So, what did the million-dollar wedding include?

The Malibu wedding venue overlooked the Pacific Ocean and 200 guests were in attendance including all of the Friends cast. And as if the view wasn’t breathtaking enough, Pitt ordered 50,000 roses, tulips, lotus flowers, and wisteria so the estate would look like a Zen garden.

As for the dress, Aniston wore a glass-beaded, low back gown by Lawrence Steele. The reception was definitely over-the-top and included a 40-person gospel choir, a lobster meal, champagne, and a performance from Mellissa Etheridge. The newlyweds ended the night with a 13-minute firework show.

David and Victoria Beckham

Victoria and David Beckham are pretty much British royalty and the couple’s wedding is just further proof.

They wed at Luttrellstown Castle in July 1999 and Posh wore a silk pleated Vera Wang ballgown with a 20-foot train, finishing the look with an 18K-gold tiara.

The ceremony had just 29 guests in attendance and was complete with rose petals and sliver birch trees. When the couple said their “I dos” a dove was released and a flag flown above the castle reading V. B. D.—for Victoria, Brooklyn, and David. For the lavish reception, which had 230 guests including the Spice Girls, the newlyweds changed into the now iconic purple outfits and sat on gold thrones for the night.
